For many, Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection. But for hundreds of people outside government hospitals in Bangalore, hunger is not just a part of Ramadan—it is a daily struggle. These are families who have traveled from far-off villages to seek medical care for their loved ones. With all their savings spent on treatment, they often go days without food.
Syed Gulab couldn’t bear to see their suffering. That’s why, four years ago, he started Roti Charity Trust, a mission to ensure that no one outside these hospitals sleeps hungry. Every single day, he serves hot, fresh meals to over 350 people—giving them not just food, but hope and comfort in their most difficult times.
Syed Gulab’s journey wasn’t easy. He lost his father at a young age and had to work hard as an automobile spray-painter to support his family. Later, he became an insurance agent, but his heart always longed to help others. The turning point came when his niece was admitted to a hospital. He saw families struggling—not just with medical expenses, but with the pain of hunger.
That moment changed everything. Gulab decided to do whatever it took to help. He started serving free meals to those in need, and over the years, Roti Charity Trust has become a beacon of hope for thousands.
This Ramadan, Be A Part Of This Beautiful Mission
Ramadan is the month of giving, of sharing our blessings with those in need. For Syed Gulab, this is not just charity—it is his way of life. But feeding 350+ people every day is not easy. There are times when he struggles to arrange for meals, yet he never lets anyone leave empty-handed.
"They are my family now," he says. "When they eat, I feel at peace. But I cannot do this alone. I need your help to continue."
This Ramadan, your kindness can ensure that these families receive a warm meal after a long day of hardship. Just one meal can bring relief to a hungry heart. Let’s come together and support Syed Gulab in his mission.
Your small contribution can bring a big change. Donate today and be a reason someone smiles this Ramadan.
